Vitality Yoga Teacher Training is a comprehensive, internationally accredited course delivered one weekend per month over seven months. We also offer twice yearly courses in Meditation Teaching and Assistant Yoga Teaching.

Our yoga teacher training is internationally accredited with Yoga Alliance with an option to extend studies for the Yoga Australia accreditation.

Students are required to attend weekend lectures once a month and have the opportunity to complete the units of Meditation and Yoga Teacher Assistant before the course. This allows students to begin practicing their teaching instruction (as an assistant) during the course providing valuable experience and building knowledge and confidence.

These units are run over three days in February and November. Students can choose to complete them before or after the course.

The final yoga teacher training weekend is a completely silent experience and is called ‘Living The Yogic Way’. This gives students an opportunity to experience a simple and peaceful existence, which includes organic vegetarian food, yoga, meditation, breathing practices (pranayama) and other cleansing practices (kriya) for the mind, body and soul.

Our experienced and dedicated staff guide and support student teachers in order to equip them with the best possible opportunities to enhance their yoga journey.

Accredited post graduate Gentle Yoga teacher training (16 CPD points) with experienced senior teacher Melanie Frank Chapman, the course is for those looking to expand their knowledge, skills and appeal as a yoga teacher who can confidently cater for all ages, abilities, illness and injury.

Vitality Yoga continues to have amazing success with our Gentle Yoga program; a style of yoga that is accessible to the largest range of people including those with serious injury or illness. Since its development in 2003, by Melanie Chapman and her mother Kehry Frank (yoga teacher of 35 years) Gentle Yoga has become our most popular style of yoga and continues to have the highest number of continuing students.

The key to Gentle Yoga’s success is the wide variety of students that it appeals to; we have students diagnosed with cancer, fibromyalgia, MS, serious back or joint injuries, seniors as well as mental health illnesses, but must be able to get up and down from the floor. However, Gentle Yoga also appeals to students that are capable of stronger classes due to the mindfulness techniques used.

This 2-day teacher training course will empower teachers with the knowledge and ability to provide a challenging yet accessible form of yoga to a broad range of students; further expanding your teaching reach and potential. Modified postures will be explored as well as visualisation techniques and the extensive use of props that is essential to delivering successful Gentle Yoga. A clear course manual will be provided which will continue to guide you well after the training has been completed.
